Grimsby design and kitchen house Sylvester Keal will raise a glass later this week to toast 25 years in business.
The company was set up from founder Derek Keal’s North East Lincolnshire garage on 15th June, 1987, and initially focused on repairing microwave ovens.
Five years later Keal was joined in the business by his son Martyn, who is now the managing director, and the company has evolved into one of the largest providers of commercial kitchen, catering and laundry supplies in the region.
It directly employs 22 people and uses more on a contract basis.
It is marking the anniversary with a redesigned company logo that celebrates the milestone, which will officially be reached this Friday.
Martyn Keal said that hitting the quarter of a century mark will be a “proud moment” for the family and the wider team.
“It’s happened because of a huge amount of dedication and hard work by a large number of people,” he stated. “We’re, most of all, grateful to our loyal customers for continuing to support us.”
Sylvester Keal is now in its fourth industrial premises, moving over the years as it outgrew existing locations.
