The dedicated engineering training arm of First Choice Group, Combico UK is located on site at the company’s new headquarters at Kingswood Lakeside in Staffordshire.
Combico offers a catalogue of course options for learning new skills and refreshing existing ones using the very latest in education technology and facilities available.
Last year saw the division launch its own two-day City & Guilds accredited Commercial Catering Equipment Electrical Competency Course, tailored to provide candidates with the essential skills and knowledge needed to work safely on equipment and provide the necessary paperwork for clients demanding proof of competency. And bringing things right up to date, Combico unveiled a new Managed Learning Program for non-domestic catering new entrants in January. Booking numbers for each are already growing.
Technical training manager, Martin Dagnall, said: “Certified by Logic Certification to run courses and carry out assessments under the Nationally Accredited Certification Scheme for Gas Fitting Operatives (ACS) Combico UK also trains experienced engineers and new recruits to the industry on equipment from all major industry brands and key manufacturers.
“Our relationship with some of the industry’s leading manufacturers means candidates can get practical experience of branded equipment.
“Training facilities here are equipped with fully functional professional kitchens so that candidates get a ‘real’ learning experience that will stand them in good stead for the future endeavours.”
