Smeg Foodservice has appointed Colin Millar in a northern regional sales management role capitalising on his years of experience in commercial catering equipment sales, covering Scotland and the north of England.
“Colin joins Smeg Foodservice’s rapidly expanding team as we take advantage of a host of new products coming on-line in 2016/2017 including digital/wireless controlled warewashers, combi ovens and upright refrigerators,” commented Smeg UK’s commercial channel director Phil Coulstock.
“He brings a huge contacts book covering Scotland and the north, having worked in sales executive and sales management roles for Hobart UK and Hobart Independent for almost two decades.
“As our northern region sales manager, Colin joins Smeg at a really dynamic time for the business in the UK following our move to a new large headquarters in Abingdon, the opening of a new dedicated warehouse and showroom in Coventry and a very dynamic sales pipeline following successful exhibitions at Host and Hotelympia.”
Millar is looking forward to the opportunities that working with the expanding Smeg Foodservice range in the UK offers: “I previously worked with Hobart Independent’s warewashing products and I know that Smeg has some really exciting innovations that will improve the way end-users are able to operate and use warewashers.
“My experience covers the whole range of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances, handling the process from sales quotations, site surveys, and design drawings through to after-sales training and demonstrations.
