Six brands fighting for catering equipment award

Hotelympia has announced the identity of the companies that will contest the final of its 2012 Innovation Awards.

The awards consist of four categories, including one for catering equipment.

Six companies have been shortlisted for the equipment accolade: Adande; Hobart; GDPA; Iglu Cold Systems; Rational; and Control Induction.

Adande and Iglu have both nominated for their refrigeration units — the Compact and CO2 respectively — while Hobart is up for its AUP commercial dishwasher.

GDPA has made the shortlist for its Burco Synergy Grill, while Rational’s SelfCookingCentre whitefficiency unit and Control Induction’s The Slider induction hob are also in the running.

The finalists were selected by an independent judging panel in December and will go on to compete at the show by pitching to Hotelympia’s ‘Innovation Idols’, who will then judge the winner.

The victor will be announced on Monday 27th February.

Other categories in the awards include Food & Drink, Design/Interiors and Technology.
