Sheffield-based Advanced Stainless Fabrication was put into voluntary liquidation on 27 September.
Neil Henry and Michael Simister of insolvency practitioner Lines Henry Limited in Altringham were appointed joint liquidators of the company to wind it up.
Henry told Catering Insight: “Advanced Stainless Fabrication Ltd is not insolvent and has not been put into administration. Whilst it has ceased to trade, it has entered into members voluntary liquidation. This means that all creditors have been, or will be, paid in full, and the surplus will be distributed to the shareholders.”
However, it is not known why the catering fabricator decided to take this step.
Creditors of the company have until 6 November to contact Lines Henry to prove their debts or claims. It is anticipated that all known creditors will be paid in full.
Advanced Stainless Fabrication was incorporated in January 2005 by directors Richard Richardson, Michael Lee and John Lee. It had reportedly posted an annual revenue of over £360,000 and employed approximately six staff.
The firm described itself as a specialist manufacturer of commercial catering equipment and air extract systems for clients within the food and catering industry.
Its product range included air extraction canopies, wall and centre benches, wall cladding systems, heated gantries, hot cupboards, sinks and shelves, bain maries and air input systems.
ASF stated that it had over 50 years of experience within the firm, “specialising in cost effective, fast turnaround, bespoke solutions for any commercial kitchen environment”.
