Leeds-based fabricator Pland Stainless has appointed David Scarlett as its new sales manager for Southern England.
Scarlett joins the company with over 20 years’ experience in the construction market, his previous role being at Twyford with an emphasis on sanitaryware. His new role involves developing Pland’s business via specifications with architects, builders’ merchants and contractors in his region of responsibility.
Steve Duree, MD, said of the appointment, “David joins us at a very exciting time for the business. We have effectively tripled the sales team over the past 3 months to keep up with demand and he seems delighted to be joining a UK manufacturer able to react to market needs with both standard and bespoke products.”
Pland was established in 1919 and produces stainless steel products, mainly for the commercial market. The equipment is targeted at many sectors including healthcare, sanitaryware, washrooms, laboratory, education, catering, janitorial or the anti-vandal range for secure accommodation.
