Catering equipment manufacturer Roller Grill has brought two new launches to market: a slimline oven and a heated display cabinet.
The Woking-based firm has introduced an ‘upright’ version of its 28litre convection oven for venues where space is at a premium. The fan-assisted FCV280 model features specific ventilation for homogeneous cooking or reheating of food from croissants, rolls and pastries to pies, pasties and ready meals.
The FCV280 is suitable for part baked goods, for example: frozen croissants can be cooked in 16 minutes at 180°C. With a maximum temperature of 230°C, which can be achieved from cold in 12 minutes, the mini oven has a 2 hour timer, an internal light and a twin glass door.
It is supplied with two perforated baking trays which can be placed in five shelf positions, and a crumb tray. The 20kg appliance has dimensions of 370 x 535 x 495mm and a shelf area of 255 x 310mm. With 1.5kW of power available, the electrical connection is through a 13A plug. The oven is priced at £499.
Roller Grill’s second introduction is the WD780 serve over display cabinet, which is designed for snack bars, café, pubs and bakeries. It can present a range of hot food products at a constant temperature between 20-90°C.
The cabinet features a ventilated firestone heating system, a humidity control to keep products moist and an LED ‘white light’ in each corner. Its rear doors open flat to give clear access.
The WD780 is available in two sizes: the DI, with external dimensions of 780 x 490 x 640mm at a price of £1,050, and a smaller companion, the SI, which is sized at 780 x 490 x 480mm with a list price of £895. Both models’ shelf area is 600 x 400mm, with the DI accommodating three shelves and the SI fitting in two.
The manufacturer’s sales director, Peter Clifford said: “The WD780 is fully gastronorm compatible. The firestone at the bottom of the cavity spreads the heat evenly and the cabinet can accept trays directly from the oven.”
