Commercial oven manufacturer Unox has recorded a bumper start to the year, with sales for January and February at their best rate for 8 years, according to UK MD Gary Nunn.
“It’s around a 32% rise,” he detailed. “People are realising Unox is a good brand and high street chains are all buying it.”
The growth has meant the firm has now doubled its warehouse space in Camberley from 4,000 to 8,000m2 to grow its stock capacity. “We can pretty much guarantee next day delivery on all of our 89 different models,” commented Nunn.
The firm has also taken on two new staff to help manage the increase: Gaynor Craddock, a former MD of a drone security camera manufacturer, now looks after Unox’s equipment sales, while Richard Robinson has joined as an active marketing chef for the northern region.
The manufacturer’s national chain accounts are firing on all cylinders, with a contract to supply pizza ovens to all of Asda’s existing stores, as well as picking up an order for Robinsons Brewery.
Furthermore, Nunn signalled that the firm is working on a ‘revolutionary’ new product, and that the industry should look out for a launch by the end of the year.
