Combi oven manufacturer Retigo is to further boost its UK commitment, as it is appointing Phil Smith as UK commercial manager.
Smith will join the company on 3 January 2017 and will be responsible for the national market.
He is a highly motivated individual with over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality and foodservice industry, including running his own catering establishment.
Retigo reported that Smith is commercially aware, innovative and has a proven track record in the catering equipment sector, having worked for two of the big names in the sector: Rational and Electrolux.
Smith is supported by six Retigo training/demo chefs covering the UK, and the manufacturer’s UK non-executive director, Radford Chancellor.
Retigo looks to have a big 2017 lined up, as it will also be releasing the Vision 2 combi oven. The firm is aiming this to lead the way in terms of features, benefits, ecological performance and cooking results.
This year the manufacturer has appointed a number dedicated service partners, widened its distribution network and increased its spare parts availability to its highest level ever for the UK market.
Retigo hosts a UK partners meeting every 6 months. This creates a great opportunity for its dealers to meet, exchange experiences, share sales leads and develop stronger relationships.
It has furthermore set up ‘Retigo Demonstration Kitchen’ sites in London, Bristol, West Midlands, Manchester, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Retigo chefs are demonstrating the product on a weekly basis across these sites.
