North East kitchen design company CNG Foodservice Equipment has successfully completed a range of top projects, following a company restructure.
The Gateshead-based distributor has been recognised nationally for its work in designing and installing kitchens around the UK.
The company – set up 14 years ago by Clive Groom – created the new kitchen at the Spa at Ramside Hall Hotel near Durham and the new Food Hall at Fenwick’s Newcastle store – the latter winning the 2016 CEDA Grand Prix Awards large projects category.
CNG also carried out a project for the prestigious Harvey Nichols store in Birmingham as well as for the iconic tearoom chain, Bettys.
“We have had an extremely busy 2015 and restructuring the company and recruiting new members of the team has helped us maintain and grow our reputation in the industry,” said Groom.
“We have won a number of national awards for our work and we are delighted that some of the most prestigious leisure and hospitality operators in the country choose to work with us over many years.”
The company has also brought in additional staff with a range of additional experience, including a graduate in interior design and a graduate in engineering, as well as Steve Waterworth, one of the first people in the UK to graduate with a masters degree in international hospitality design and management consultancy.
At the same time the company has recruited two more key account managers, one of whom is former client Adrian Watson, who has both management and head chef experience at Michelin star level, along with a former chef who has more than 25 years’ experience in the equipment industry.
The company has also invested in technology, introducing new design systems and estimating packages.
