Rational to showcase latest XS combis at Commercial Kitchen

Rational’s latest SelfCookingCenter XS will be showcased on its Commercial Kitchen stand.

At Commercial Kitchen 2017, visitors will experience the new generation Rational SelfCookingCenter on stand F2, 6-7 June at the NEC, Birmingham.

The combi oven model is now available as the XS version in unit sizes 6 x 2/3 GN and in the familiar unit sizes 6 x 1/1 GN to 20 x 2/1 GN. Said to offer more optimisations with the same functionality and performance as previous models, the SelfCookingCenter is claimed to be the first intelligent commercial cooking appliance that interacts with chefs, getting to know the chef’s preferences.

Rational will also be showcasing the new CombiMaster Plus combi oven now also in the XS format and with automatic cleaning. The unit is said to deliver the same performance as its bigger siblings and fit into small professional kitchens. Furthermore, the automatic cleaning function is now available for all sizes of the CombiMaster Plus units.

On stand F2, Rational chefs will demonstrate how to prepare different meal occasions, with the new generation SelfCookingCenter 101, CombiMaster Plus 101 and XS models, including breakfast, grab-and-go, baking, a la carte and casual dining items with flexibility and consistent results.

The SelfCookingCenter shows which foods can be cooked together on the iLevelControl display. This monitors each rack individually, which should ensure consistent results. In addition, according to the load quantity and how often and for how long the door stays open, iLevelControl intelligently corrects the cooking time. iCookingControl will prepare food as specified, as it is designed to recognise the size and condition of the products as well as the loaded quantity. Rational says this function thinks ahead and constantly reprogrammes and automatically adapts the cooking ideal path to the desired result.

Furthermore, Rational will be demonstrating the ConnectedCooking networking solution for professional kitchens; available for both Rational and Frima units it opens up numerous possibilities for making everyday kitchen work safer, simpler, and more convenient. Chain operations can also manage all connected units centrally and control production processes effectively.

Frima, part of Rational UK, will be exhibiting on the stand and visitors will be able to see how a kitchen with a Rational and a Frima VarioCooking Center can cook everything that a modern foodservice operation requires – on a minimal footprint, and said to use less energy than conventional appliances.
