Rational is set to turn its attentions to the coffee shop market next month by highlighting its latest combi steamer technology at the Caffe Culture show.
The German manufacturer will be out to convince coffee shop owners that they can expand their menus by using its SelfCookingCenter whitefficiency system when the show kicks off next month.
Rational reckons the unit is “ideal” for coffee shop operations, bakeries and take-aways as it can improve food quality and speed up production.
It will also put the focus on its Ultravent Plus hood, which is designed to solve the problem of cooking in limited space, since many operators have only a small kitchen or have to cook front of house.
As Ultravent deals with the steam, odour and smoke, it eliminates the need for sophisticated ventilation and extractor systems.

The first is the HiDensityControl function, which maximises the capacity of the oven cabinet to produce more food from the same footprint, while the Efficient LevelControl system allows staff to cook different foods at the same time, easily and with no flavour cross over.
