Rational bags 120 leads on day one of show

Hotelympia has got off to a strong start for Rational, with the combi oven manufacturer revealing it generated 120 leads on the first day of the show.

“We’re very happy with that number, especially for a Sunday, which is usually the quietest day of the show. And the key thing is the leads are for good quality individuals,” said Lee Norton, managing director of Rational UK.

He told Catering Insight that rather than wait for the show to finish and collate all the leads, Rational’s sales department will be following up on them immediately.

He said: “Every lead is being inputted to our data base and it will be synchronised with our systems, so tomorrow our telesales team will follow up on the opportunities. We don’t hang about!”

Norton insists that any leads that materialise into sales will be good news for the dealer channel as Rational sells exclusively through the channel.

He said the first day of the show had also brought Rational into contact with “two or three” dealers that the company does not currently have a relationship with but which expressed their desire to sell the brand.

The SelfCookingCenter whitefficiency combi oven is the focus of Rational’s appearance at Hotelympia, with live cooking taking place at its stand every day of the show.
