The Middleby Group will invite more partners to view the manufacturing processes behind its Q90 brand in February after the success of an exclusive dealer tour it held last week.
The company hosted distributors and design consultants at Lincat’s factory in Lincoln where its 900mm range is engineered and manufactured in dedicated production facilities. They got to see how products are developed, from R&D through to manufacture.
Richard Fordham, Q90’s international brand manager, said the purpose of the event was to put Q90 in the spotlight.
“The products combine high-quality UK engineering with sleek Italian style, offering powerful performance and flexibility, whilst being robust and easy to maintain,” he said. “We gave visitors the chance to see this at first-hand with a specially designed Q90 suite of products.”
And Fordham confirmed the brand plans to open up the doors again in a few months’ time. “Following the success and positive feedback from the day, we will be repeating the event in February,” he said.
Attendees at last week’s event had the opportunity to try out the Q90 range for themselves, with the brand even holding its own version of Saturday Kitchen’s ‘Omelette Challenge’.
Brakes Catering Equipment’s purchasing chief, Brian Honeyford, was crowned the winner after making an omelette the quickest.
