British refrigeration manufacturer Precision will launch a variety of new models at the Host exhibition in Milan in October.
The new upright cabinets are described by the manufacturer as “superefficient”, and under draft EUP Eco Design Directive tests, the cabinets (models MPT and LPT) achieve at least A* ratings.
Energy-saving features for the Gastronorm cabinets are said to include Danfoss inverter drive compressors, hydrocarbon refrigerant and low-energy fan technology.
Precision claims that improvements in insulation and interior airflow patterns make the cabinets superefficient, performing well in rooms with low ceiling heights, without over-heating, which can be a problem for conventional refrigeration models.
Also on display at the manufacturer’s Host stand will be new counters using the same energy-saving features, plus units designed specifically for overseas markets – such as the bright red ‘tropicalised’ bottle coolers, designed to operate in high ambient temperatures.
