Precision Refrigeration has taken further steps towards enhancing its manufacturing capabilities by installing new machinery at its UK plant.
The company says that “increasing demand” for its products both at home and abroad has led it to purchase new foaming equipment and an additional Salvagnini bending machine at its head office in Norfolk.
Precision claims the new machines will allow it to increase its production capacity, while maintaining strict quality control procedures and specifications.
The investment in its UK factory comes just a few months after the company announced the opening of a factory in Shenzhen, China to supply the Far East markets.
The creation of Precision Refrigeration Equipment (Shenzhen) Company Limited is a joint venture with Xinbaoying. All products manufactured by the operation will be sold into the Far East.
“The Far East, and especially China, is a growing market for us,” said Precision’s managing director Nick Williams. “We think it’s necessary to serve local markets by being there, locally. Rather than ship products around the world, we transfer our knowledge and experience, by way of partnerships, to supply markets directly.”
He added: “The increase in wealth in China has led to demand for European-style products and services in restaurants and hotels. We are investing over there in order to get a share of the business.”
Precision also has an existing overseas partnership with Cyberchill, which specifically covers the Australian market.
