Tomorrow, PFR directors Ross Gibson and Andy Piggin, along with a group of friends, are participating in the X Runner, Water Wipeout extreme obstacle course race for charity.
The event is staged at the Holme Pierrepont, National Water Sport Centre in Nottingham.
The rep group pair will be running, swimming and crawling their way through 10km of mud, water and obstacles to raise money for Sands, an organisation that supports people affected by the death of a baby, before or shortly after birth. The charity also provides funding for research into the reduction and prevention of stillbirths and neonatal deaths.
Gibson commented: “Sands provide wonderful support and advice to parents and family affected by loss, at the most difficult of times. My close friend Dan and I have first-hand experience of the amazing work they do, and this is a way of us giving something back.
“To say that we are not natural athletes would be an understatement, but we are lucky to have some great friends to help us along the way.”
The participants have so far raised in excess of £1.500, and to donate further, visit: https://www.justgiving.com/sandsXRunners/
