Pentland pays tribute to outgoing marketing chief

Pentland Wholesale is waving goodbye to its marketing manager Robin Taylor today.

He is taking retirement having been with the Blackburn-based outfit since it started trading in 1994.

During his 20 years in the industry he has become a popular and well-known figure, and played a key role in taking Pentland from a four-person, office-based operation to one of the largest catering and refrigeration wholesalers in the market.

Although officially the company’s marketing manager, Taylor has pretty much helped out in every department over the years, from taking service calls to making deliveries.

Pentland said it was with “great sadness” that it says goodbye to the longest-serving member of its business and wished him a happy retirement.

“Robin will be retiring to race cars and visit all the major European fine dining establishments,” it stated. “Thanks for all your hard work over the years making Pentland Wholesale the company it is today, you’ll be sorely missed by staff and customers alike.”
