PDM Group, one of the largest provider of recycling and process services to the UK restaurant industry, is rebranding its business.
From March 1, the company will be known as SARIA, taking on the name of its majority shareholder. Other sub-brands within the group will also get a different moniker.
PDM’s food waste recycling and anaerobic digestion sites in Doncaster, Widnes and Dagenham, which opens in 2014, will continue to operate under the ReFood UK brand.
Philip Simpson, commercial director at PDM Group, said: “The move marks a real milestone for the business. We are investing over £90m in all of our UK operations to modernise our sites and ensure that we deliver the highest standards across the board. Our aim is to set the benchmark for quality and high standards across the industry.”
The company says the decision to rebrand is an “essential part” of its growth strategy. It hopes it will take it from being the number one in the UK to the number one in Europe.
Simpson added that as the business moves forward it will retain the essence of what its reputation has been built on. “While our identity will change, we are still very proud of our history,” he said. “PDM has a long-standing heritage and a very well established reputation for quality, reliability and performance in our sector.”
