Wolfenbüttel-based cooking equipment manufacturer MKN has celebrated its 70th anniversary.
At its German headquarters the company grounds were turned into a huge party location for 2,000 guests and employees and their families to enjoy a celebration.
There were certainly reasons to celebrate, as shortly before the event, MKN closed its business year with new record sales figures.
The company was founded by Kurt Neubauer in 1946 with only 3 employees, and is still owned today by the second and third generations of the founder’s family.
Now it employs around 500 people and in the last few years the company has also invested intensively to optimise internal processes.
Furthermore a new production hall has been built which accommodates a state-of-the-art stainless steel processing line, extending MKN’s premises to 80,000m2.
Its product offerings have also expanded rapidly in recent years, including the MKN combi steamer, FlexiCombi and the multifunctional FlexiChef, said to be equipped with the first automatic cleaning system for pans.
The firm stated: “As a modern, progressive industrial company with outstanding products and a highly motivated international team, MKN is looking ahead to the future with enthusiasm and passion alike as the success story continues.”
