Metcalfe Catering Equipment has introduced the Retro Flywheel Slicer for meat slicing.
The retro-styled unit, a polished deep red, is able to slice all kinds of meat and salami, using what is designed to be a smooth and quiet cutting action.
It is equipped with a 300ml hollow ground chromed carbon steel blade, which is operated by turning the flywheel handle.
An easy-set thickness control produces cuts from 0mm to 3mm while an integral self-aligning sharpening unit is said to keep the blade in good condition. The blade mechanism is detachable for easy cleaning.
A retro-styled pedestal, sold separately, can raise the slicer 790mm off the countertop.
