Meiko has promoted regional sales manager Mark Sharland to its key accounts sales team in a move designed to build on its growth in the chain and multiple-operator sector.
The reshuffle has also created a vacancy within the business, as Meiko now needs someone to fill Sharland’s previous role looking after London and the Home Counties.
Sharland has been looking after that area of the country for Meiko during the past six years, but his new post will see him working with Simon Callus to develop the multi-site operator business.
The team, headed up by business development director Jeremy Hall is focused on driving forward the Meiko benefits, which includes its three- and five-year ‘No Bills’ guarantee offer.
“That Meiko delivers reduced lifetime costs is the icing on the cake and the result of its work in engineering a quality product, supported by experienced Technical Field Staff,” said Hall.
Having announced the promotion, Meiko will now turn its attention to finding a regional sales manager for the London area.
The company said it is have a suitable candidate in place before the end of March at the latest. It added that experience of warewashing products is an advantage, but candidates will first and foremost need to demonstrate first-class sales ability and a proven track record.
“Our remuneration package reflects Meiko’s status as the market leader in the UK warewashing and food waste handling sectors,” the company added.
