Meiko UK has hit all the right business performance markers to achieve Altius Assured Vendor status.
Altius assessment increases supply chain visibility by effectively demonstrating to buyers of catering equipment and related services that Meiko satisfies all necessary criteria covering corporate social responsibility, health and safety systems, financial strength and insurances.
By passing the rigorous independent assessment and accreditation process, the company and potential parties that it works with should see improved efficiency and reduced time spent on compliance.
When competing by tender, for example, Meiko has effectively pre-qualified much of the paperwork, speeding up the compliance process by removing duplication of effort and saving itself and the customer valuable time and resources.
Meiko UK’s technical services director, Dave Kemp, said that achieving Altius status proves its high level of competency and compliance.
“When it comes to working on projects in particular, Altius compliance will speed up the process of getting to site and that is a win-win for us all,” he commented. “Our kitchen design house and catering equipment distributor partners have the reassurance that Meiko’s credentials are the very best in the business.”
With Altius, clients either manage the compliance themselves using the software or engage with the organisations to assess, improve, monitor and assure their supply base. The robust online system takes a thorough evidence-based approach to checking the competences and financial health of suppliers.
Gary Plant, managing director of Altius, said that Meiko had demonstrated to its assessors that it is a top supplier.
“This provides assurance that it has all the necessary health and safety systems, financial strength, insurance coverage and other requirements in place to be a competent supplier to large corporate customers. We are delighted to welcome them as one of our assured vendors,” he said.
