Meiko UK has expanded its business development team with the promotion of Simon Callus as business development director, reinforcing its focus on multi-site national account business, the manufacturer said.
Business development manager, Robin Macaulay, now reports to Callus and the team will aim to develop Meiko’s expanding trade with the hotel, casual dining and care sectors.
Callus joined Meiko in 2009 in the role of business development manager.
He has extensive experience of Meiko’s new generation M-iClean, UPster, M-iQ rack and flight dishwashers and food waste handling solutions.
Callus said: “Meiko UK is steadily building successful partnerships across the sectors. Key groups including Hilton, Hand Picked, Marriott, Village, Arora, Barchester, Sunrise, Las Iguanas, Debenhams and the Fenwick chain recognise the value that Meiko brings to their business.
“The new Meiko dishwashing machines – M-IClean undercounter models and the UPster rack transport range especially – have impressed with their combination of improved technology, good looks and Meiko’s impressive build quality. We have set the bar for the industry.”
He added that distributor partners and direct customers have come to appreciate the level of knowledge and expertise that Meiko claimed to be able to deliver.
“Catering operators and distributors are inundated with information about dishwashing machinery and what they really appreciate from Meiko is transparently clear and accurate information relating to the water, power, chemicals and energy consumption of our equipment.
“Meiko only sells dishwashing equipment and nothing else. The company is focused on and fully committed to being the best supplier in the industry.
“Robin and I will continue to exploit the benefits of using Meiko, especially the 3 and 5 year ‘No Bills’ guarantee, the outstanding technical services support and the knowledge and experience of the staff in the office and out in the field.”
