Pat Butt has been a dedicated member of the HCE team for 25 years. Some would refer to her as “The Guardian” of the Hampshire-based dealer.
Pat has been managing the company’s finances with precision and the utmost care since joining the HCE team in 1991. Her role has become varied and diverse and to purely say she heads-up ‘finance’ would be a huge injustice in role she fills today.
She not only manages a small team, she is crucial to the day to day running of the business, ensuring all processes and procedures are correct and up to date. She is also the company’s internal contact, dealing with staff and any HR matters, health and safety, and is a key member of the HCE management team.
In April 2015 Pat went into semi-retirement, reducing her hours to 5 mornings a week. However, due to changes within the company in late 2015, extra hands were needed and Pat readily volunteered to come back and work full time once again – and still is!
This gesture was something which the HCE team was not expecting, but typically showed Pat’s true commitment to the company and her unwillingness to see the company or its staff struggle in any way.
At the same time, during the last 12 months, Pat, alongside her many daily and monthly commitments, played the key role in helping HCE gain its SSIP Accreditation through Acclaim – not at all bad for supposed ‘semi-retirement’. Pat’s careful eye, exquisite attention to detail and ‘nothing is too much’ attitude has been a significant factor in HCE’s success over the years and in the past 12 months she really has shown her ‘true colours’.
