Liviana Wijaya has certainly been making her mark on the industry since joining Gateshead-based CNG Foodservice Equipment as a CAD designer/estimator last year.
She has already been nominated for this year’s CEDA’s Rising Star Award, and although she didn’t win the category, the standard of her and her fellow candidates’ interviews throughout the shortlisting process ensured that the judging panel had a very difficult time choosing between them.
She and the rest of the nominees were therefore invited to the 2016 CEDA Conference and the Grand Prix Awards ceremony, where she could network with hundreds of other industry luminaries and learn more about the catering equipment sector.
Although she is new to the foodservice equipment industry, she is enjoying the different and new challenges.
Described as outstanding and an amazing talent, Liviana has demonstrated a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and achieve. She came from Indonesia to pursue her degree in the UK, and in 2009, she graduated at Northumbria University with a BA in Interior Design.
Starting her career off as an interior designer at retail giant, Ikea, in 2012, she specialised in designing aesthetically-designed room settings, incorporating furniture and home furnishing. She also has experience working in architecture firms and has good knowledge of CAD skills and 3D visualisation.
Liviana has been living in the north east for over 8 years. In her leisure time, she enjoys walking her two dogs at the coast and countryside. She also enjoys dining out (her favourite food is Japanese) and watching the latest movie at the cinema with friends.
