Jacob Lee is a familiar face for Buckingham-based dealer Inox Equip. Continuing its strategy of supporting fresh talent, the company appointed Jacob as business development manager in summer last year.
This followed his 40-week placement in 2014, after which he returned to university, completing his final year at Bournemouth and receiving a 2.1 Bachelor of Arts degree in product design in June 2015.
During his 4 years there he completed many design projects, ranging from children’s toys to bike lights made around a set printed circuit board. His final project was an affordable and sustainable lifeguard rescue tube aimed at developing countries. Working closely with the RNLI and locally trained lifeguards in Bangladesh, Jacob was able to produce a product that could be manufactured in Bangladesh for £5.69. At the end of the project he gave all of the information and design work he had completed to the RNLI, and the design is now being fabricated in Bangladesh.
Jacob is currently working in Inox’s design and estimating department and has settled back into the company. He performs his role under the mentorship of director Jeremy Walding. Jacob helps to provide complete catering design, consultant, procurement and installation services for all sectors including hospitality, schools, independent kitchens and also healthcare, where Inox Equip offers a full care home package of both kitchen and laundry equipment.
The company believes that this appointment underpinned its commitment to encouraging new blood into the industry and supporting the CEDA Rising Star initiative. Jacob’s colleagues feel that his drive and thirst for knowledge is commendable and they wish him every success in the months and years to come.
