Gabrielle Guile started working at Vision Commercial Kitchens shortly after graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Theological Studies in Philosophy and Ethics.
Starting as a marketing and events coordinator in 2014 was her first full time job. With no previous experience of marketing or the foodservice industry, it was a big task to undertake, as the job role involved managing all of the marketing activities and events for the company.
Despite a lack of experience in both marketing and the foodservice industry, Gabrielle has gone on to make significant changes to the marketing activity within the company. Vision used to outsource its graphic design work, recognising this; she attended several graphic design courses and now provides all the artwork for adverts, case studies and the website.
Gabrielle’s job role includes running marketing campaigns, creating marketing literature, managing exhibitions and conferences, maintaining the company’s social media channels, e-marketing campaigns, managing the marketing budget, media planning and management, writing press releases and editorial, amongst other things – and this work is carried out autonomously.
This year, Gabrielle has undertaken two large projects, the first being the recent redesign of the company website to make it much more user friendly by having separate sector pages within the design. The website is also mobile optimised which is extremely important in order to remain modern and up to date with technological advances.
She has designed and created the website and will continue to manage the content by updating it with new projects and blog posts, which was due to be published start of June. Alongside all of the marketing for the main design aspect of the business, this year she has project managed the creation and launch of the company’s new e-commerce website for light equipment.
