Yvonne Martin is constantly working to steer Surrey-based Equipt to Cook to the next level. In recent months she has signed the distributor up as a CEDA member to help it develop the design, supply, installation and project management services it offers across the UK, as well as adding to the brand by being part of an association with a reputation for professionalism.
As Founder and Managing Director of the firm, she is looking towards this move to further boost Equipt to Cook’s growth and reputation. She has plenty of experience to draw upon too, as after spending 8 years as an equipment sales manager at Compass Group, in 2003 she struck out on her own to establish the new firm.
After 13 years in business she is still pushing Equipt to Cook to new heights. In recent years the company was praised for its faith in buying group ENSE. Even though it is still a small outfit, the distributor showed over 50% commitment to the consortium’s suppliers in 2015/2016, winning the group’s 2015 Directors Award.
Specialising in hotels, schools, retail and restaurant projects, recent schemes Yvonne has been instrumental in securing include for the prestigious Bradfield College in Reading and The Principal Manchester, following a £25m renovation of the former Palace Hotel Manchester by the Principal Hotel Company.
She ensures the distributor maintains ‘the personal approach’, working closely with its clients to support them throughout a project or simply providing them advice on the correct type of single item equipment.
