Stephen Leeder took the next step in his career this year by joining Ruislip-based commercial kitchen design house WilcoxBurchmore as Project Sales Manager.
He is now working alongside Founders and Directors, Cathy Wilcox and Michael Burchmore, to help grow and develop the business as it approaches its sixth birthday. WilcoxBurchmore designs and fits commercial kitchens in schools and businesses across the South East and has seen continued growth since it started in 2011.
Stephen is recognised as an experienced industry professional and has worked to develop business in several other distributors, starting at the Carford Group in 2011, followed by stints at Airedale Catering Equipment and Brakes Catering Equipment.
At Carford, one of the most high profile projects he oversaw was outfitting the BBC’s 450-seater dual cafe at the corporation’s Broadcasting House in London. During the installation, he oversaw the redesign of some areas of the kitchen, plus even accounting for a sloping floor. Nevertheless he ensured that the project was completed on time and on budget, site to be handed back to main contractor Johnson Controls ahead of contract caterer Aramark taking over control the kitchen.
He will no doubt help WilcoxBurchmore to cope with its ever growing portfolio, now and into the future. His industry colleagues feel that he has great capabilities and skills and will forge ahead developing new designs and ideas. One of his first tastes of the company’s work is likely to have been the refurbishment of Adam Handling’s The Frog restaurant in Shoreditch, which WilcoxBurchmore completed in May – with a further Covent Garden site in August.
