Public relations may be seen as a bit of a dark art, especially in the catering equipment industry, but marketing a firm is actually one of the most important roles in business.
For Phil Scoble, PR and Marketing Executive at modular kitchen specialist PKL, these skills now come naturally, having trained and worked in journalism, copy writing and media consulting for over 13 years. He is now diligently working to further raise PKL’s profile and has overseen a transformative period at the company.
He is instrumental in updating the U-Select website, detailing the wide-ranging equipment leasing package which was launched at the end of 2015. Furthermore he amazingly doubled PR coverage for the company in his first year employed there.
Not content with that, he is seeking to engage PKL’s customers in a variety of interactive ways, filming and editing a new library of video content, including the latest innovation, an immersive 360˚ virtual reality video introduction to operations at the firm.
Social media is high on his agenda too, as the campaigns he has so far led meant that tweet impressions rose from 4,000 a month to 22,000 a month in four weeks, while engagement rates and followers tripled over the same period.
Driving the creative process for marketing is no mean feat, and with this year’s introduction of the Garbage Guzzler anaerobic waste digester to the PKL portfolio, Phil will be continuing to ensure that the company’s message reaches far and wide.
