Mechline receives quality certification

Mechline is now certified to ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards.

Milton Keynes-based manufacturer Mechline Developments has successfully transitioned to the latest version of ISO 9001, the internationally recognised quality management system (QMS).

Mechline believes the ISO 9001:2015 standard recognises its commitment to continuously monitoring and managing quality across the business, as well as its endeavour to make continuous improvements.

By certifying to the ISO 9001:2015, Mechline feels it has demonstrated a sound management approach, orientated towards its customers.

The manufacturer reports it has worked hard to grow its portfolio of innovative and unique products and deliver this through an effective customer-focused operation with a ‘right first time’ ethos.

This year it is celebrating 20 years of its Dormont gas connectors maintaining the BSI Kitemark, thanks to its commitment to a manufacturing, build, testing and packing process, and ongoing quality testing (Dormont is said to be the only commercial gas hose to carry the BSI Kitemark).

John Towersey, director of quality and process improvement at Mechline, commented: “We have successfully made the transition from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015 with a 100% score and no non-conformities.

“This is a great achievement towards which we have been working for the last 12 months and I am very proud of our professional and competent team. We will always look to make improvements to our processes, in order to effectively deliver what our customers need and value – upwards and onwards!”

Hi Plumber Maz, from everyone here at Mechline we are extremely sorry to hear that you have faced some errors with your orders. Our focus is – and always will be – to make life easier and better for you, our customers. You may be aware that last year we made the move to bigger premises, which have enabled us to bring all of our operations under one roof to improve our overall functioning. There is always the danger of standards slipping during a transition period, but encouraging feedback has suggested that we have managed to maintain the level of service that you have come to expect from Mechline throughout. Of course, we are a business comprising humans and do occasionally make mistakes, from which we learn from and improve. I would really appreciate if you could contact me directly to discuss your experiences to understand how we can address your concerns directly and I also offer an invite to see our new premises and how we always strive for continuous improvement. I look forward to hearing from you – Kristian Roberts – Mechline. kristian@mechline.com tel:01908 261511
