Marren Group gains new services contract

Marren Group has strengthened its brand offering by becoming the official UK services agent for Daewoo Electronics’ own-brand commercial microwave range.

Axon Enterprises and Regale were recently appointed as distributors for Daewoo’s microwaves, but Wellingborough-based Marren has confirmed it has picked up the services business.

“Our role will be to offer warranty coverage for Daewoo’s commercial microwave ovens on a nationwide basis,” said Bob Clifford, managing director of Marren. “We will also be responsible for the distribution of the Daewoo spare parts from our central UK warehouse.”

Marren has been specialising in microwave ovens and accelerated cooking technology for more than three decades. It provides repair services and support for brands such as Electrolux, Merrcychef, Amana, Sanyo and Panasonic.

Daewoo Elecetronics’ sales director, Simon Drought, said Marren Group’s understanding of the sector was a key factor in the appointment.

“With over 30 years experience in microwave ovens and accelerated cooking technology, an excellent ‘first fix’ rate and a commitment to hold the full range of spare parts in stock, we are confident that we will be working with the best in the business and that having Marren as service agents will enhance the overall selling proposition,” he said.
