Manchester-based refrigeration and catering equipment dealer, Corr Chilled UK Ltd, is in the process of being wound up.
However, the online dealer’s website and stock have been acquired by fellow refrigeration equipment supplier, Bottle Coolers Direct.
Catering Insight contacted Cheshire-based Bottle Coolers Direct, and a salesperson commented: “We don’t have any access to previous customer data from Corr Chilled, we have only bought the website.”
The site now says the owning company is ‘Bottle Coolers Direct Ltd Trading as Corr Chilled’.
Insolvency practitioner Jones Lowndes Dwyer has been appointed to handle Corr Chilled’s case, and partner Ian Jones told Catering Insight: “The company has ceased to trade and was placed into liquidation on 9 October 2015 as it had suffered with order levels and margins were tight.”
The web-based dealer began life as a partnership in 2005 and was incorporated as a limited company in 2010. James Castle is recorded as the director.
The former Corr Chilled website, now owned by Bottle Coolers Direct, currently states: “We provide a large selection of catering equipment… such as ranges, pizza ovens and microwaves or food preparation equipment such as bar and stick blenders, slicers, mixers and vacuum packers."
It also claims to supply good quality cookers, salamander grills, Panini grills, chargrills and refrigeration. Brands referenced on the company’s website include Lincat, Falcon, Parry, Burco, Classeq, Kromo and Whirlpool.
