Loan service takes pain out of kitchen breakdowns

Equipment breakdowns are an inconvenience for any operator, but Linda Lewis Kitchens is vowing to take the stress out of the situation by introducing an after-sales loan service on select items of foodservice equipment it supplies.

From now on, customers buying any of its medium and heavy-duty Italian-sourced meat slicers, dough mixers and former rollers will be covered by a special loan package in the event a product fails and needs to be taken away for repair.

LLK says that an onsite engineer will diagnose the problem and endeavour to fix it straight away, but if an instant resolution is not possible a loan machine will be provided free of charge until the machine is repaired.

The offer applies even if the product is outside of its warranty period.

“Our new loan service is testament to our commitment to providing a quality and reliable after-sales service,” said managing director, Linda Lewis. “Malfunctions can occur with any equipment, but in the event of breakdown it’s important to ensure the continued smooth operation of the kitchen. For us, it’s all about going that extra mile to make life easier for our customers.”

The loan service coincides with the expansion of LLK’s food preparation portfolio. It has just taken stock of a new range of planetary mixers, including 10 litre and 20 litre models.
