LLK gets app-y for dealer engagement

The new Linda Lewis Kitchens app could help engineers diagnose faults quicker.

Oldham-based pizza equipment specialist, Linda Lewis Kitchens (LLK), is launching an app which will go live on 23 July.

This step for the brand will be the next milestone in its development towards a more technological approach with regards to its interactions with dealers and end users.

The app has been designed by LLK’s in-house marketing team to enhance the brand’s customer experience, whilst simultaneously showcasing products in what is said to be a simple and interactive way.

The basis behind the app is to provide dealers and end users with all they need to know about the ovens, without having to read through many complex pages in user manuals.

Whilst navigating the app, customers can find out about LLK equipment, see honest reviews from customers, as well as view operational videos of a selection of the equipment from the supplier’s range. The LLK app will also allow users to directly contact a member of the firm’s team who are equipped with any further knowledge that dealers, engineers, or customers may need.

The exclusive videos that feature on the application have been created to be quick and easy to follow; they feature operational information as well as cleaning procedures. The app can also be set to ‘push notifications’ which will alert customers to new offers and products that are available in the LLK range.

Service engineers who work on behalf of LLK up and down the country could also benefit from using the app. The mobility of the app allows engineers on site to view exploded parts diagrams, wiring diagrams and service guides, designed to result in an easier and more efficient service for the end user.

The app is said to be easy to use can be directly downloaded on iPhone by scanning the QR code featured on the LLK website using the mobile device’s camera. Android users can download a QR scanner from the Play store and scan the QR code from the LLK website, then the app will download instantly.

MD Linda Lewis said: “We have seen in recent months that some of our chain customers are going mobile to train their staff; our app allows these customers to show their staff how to operate LLK machinery, how to get the most from our products and how to maintain it to ensure it operates effectively from the comfort of their own business in a more cost-effective way.”

Service and spares co-ordinator Ryan King stated: “LLK has invested in creating videos for the app in the hope that it will reduce unnecessary call-outs for LLK equipment. This app will also be vital to our specially selected Gold Standard service members who can quickly diagnose any issues if they should arise.”

While marketing executive Grace Carr added: “The app will be instrumental in helping on the road engineers, especially our gold standard members, to deal with call-outs quickly and effectively. The videos have been selected to provide easy to follow, informative training to engineers, which for small businesses will be instrumental in their progression, with regards to servicing our equipment.”
