Linda Lewis Kitchens relocates to prepare for further expansion

Linda Lewis Kitchens (LLK) launched new premises that are said to equip it for the next stage of dynamic expansion.

The Italian catering equipment importer and supplier has recently relocated within its home town of Oldham and moved into 13,000ft2 of office and warehousing accommodation.

Having outgrown premises it occupied for 7 years, LLK has settled into its spacious new office, and developed facilities that enable it to further its growth ambitions in its 10th anniversary year.

It has created a new demonstration kitchen area, conference facilities, a dedicated area for storage and warehousing and a workshop and lost no time in launching a new range of equipment, whilst also expanding its suite of services, to maximise the potential of the space on offer.

The LLK demo kitchen is laid out bistro-style, where dealers and end users can experience special events at LLK that encompass equipment demonstrations and food sampling, and which can be as hands-on as required.

Forthcoming dealer workshops are designed to equip distributors with knowledge that can underpin successful sales strategies, as well as allowing them to meet the LLK team. The events also provide opportunities for networking and sharing best practice.

The kitchen now includes four electric Cuppone pizza ovens, and a new range of Italian wood-fired and living flame ovens.

The demo kitchen’s pizza preparation area includes equipment promoting LLK’s ‘three steps to pizza perfection’, with a dough rounder and pizza press on hand to take the hard work out of pizza preparation. Other equipment is on show and available for demonstrations.

The LLK team has also launched new services. Caterers can now benefit from access to pre-loved equipment that other caterers have outgrown and which has been serviced by LLK’s team.

The supplier has also launched a warehousing and storage service, which can remove catering equipment from eateries planning a refurbishment, store it securely and then refit it into the refurbished eatery when all work has been completed.

Furthermore, Linda Lewis’ daughter Jenna has now joined the business, working alongside not just her mother and technical director father, Carl, but also her partner, Will Pilling.

Pilling heads up the warehousing division, whilst Carl oversees the service function and LLK’s North Wales office, which opened earlier this year to offer servicing and repairs within that region. Jenna is driving business development, with a particular emphasis on the new LLK wood-fired and living flame ovens.
