Italian warewasher manufacturer Krupps has once again collaborated with the First Choice Group to host what was the third of its annual UK training days for catering equipment engineers.
Held at the spares giant’s Cannock headquarters on 24 January, the day saw dealer servicing personnel discover Krupps’ new waterproof UniKo touch-screen panel and the updated iKloud wi-fi technology. They also had the opportunity to participate, with feedback sought during the training for the implementation and personalisation of the wi-fi technology, together with testing the new display.
Krupps’ export MD Riccardo Scuotto, who delivered the training alongside his company’s head engineer Michele Barbieri, commented: “This was our third consecutive training event at First Choice Group with the focus being on our new waterproof UniKo touch-screen panel and updated iKloud wi-fi technology.
“Due to the constant innovation offered by our products, it is imperative to transfer the knowledge correctly to the market by informing product users and training the sales force and the service engineers.”
Scuotto added: “We have consolidated our position in the UK market thanks to the strong partnerships we are developing with qualified engineers who participate in such training to learn how to install and service Krupps products across the UK. This is why we run local training in order to transfer all the Krupps knowledge to our authorised engineers.
“But it is the support and ambition of our friends and colleagues at First Choice Group that gives us the platform and confidence to co-ordinate these type of events which are crucial if Krupps is to achieve the success want.
“On behalf of everyone at Krupps, I would like to thank John, Martin and the team there for allowing us to use their facilities and for encouraging us.”
First Choice Group’s MD John Whitehouse said the training was further evidence of how the company is helping to nurture industry talent. “Over the last 18 months or so we have really established a positive and fruitful working relationship with Krupps.
“Hosting these type of events here at First Choice Group allows us to satisfy our ambitions for working with product manufacturers. But, just as important, it also allows others to benefit from our knowledge and expertise.
“In the UK catering industry there are not many opportunities to work closely with up and coming brands to support them and help them grow. This is a fantastic example of what can be achieved.”
Martin Dagnall, technical training manager for First Choice group’s specialist training division Combico UK added: “Hosting such events for partners like Krupps here at our state-of-the-art, fully equipped premises gives us a real impetus for promoting quality training.
“Our relationship with Krupps has excelled since we signed a master distribution agreement with the company in 2016 and it’s great to be able to help our industry partners to grow and develop.”
Krupps’ wi-fi technology has been used throughout the UK since January 2017 and other manufacturers are increasingly adopting similar technology. Furthermore, the manufacturer will demonstrate it at its Hotelympia exhibition stand (number 1750) in London’s ExCel on 5-8 March.
