Following the success of the first event in the Jestic Educational Workshop event earlier this year, Jestic has announced the next date for the series. Open to dealers and distributors as well as end-user operators, the dedicated ‘frying workshop’ will run on Wednesday 11 October at Jestic’s state-of-the-art development kitchen in Paddock Wood, Kent.

The course, which features an in-depth look at frying, will cover topics including ‘The science behind oil and what happens when it is heated’, ‘Oil testing methods’, ‘Best practices and extending oil life’ and ‘Equipment innovation’ amongst others. This particular work workshop has also been designed to dispel many of the myths around frying, which still remains a common cooking method, demonstrating how operators can ensure quality, aided by the support from dealers and distributors.

Featuring some of the latest research and information into specific cooking techniques, the courses will deliver an insight into the latest best practice, offer helpful hints and tips on maintaining efficiency and provide an understanding of how to get the most from the technology available to a modern kitchen.

The Jestic ‘Educational Workshop’ series has been launched to cover a multitude of different cooking methods commonly used in a professional kitchen, with each event looking at a specific topic. These areas of consideration include frying, baking, pizza and solid fuel cooking, providing dealers, distributors, chefs, operators, buyers and F&B managers the technical knowhow and knowledge to achieve outstanding results and truly get the most from their equipment.

Run by Jestic’s own Culinary Team at their state-of-the-art development kitchen at the company’s head office in Paddock Wood, Kent, the sessions will last around four hours and include live demonstrations and a delicious lunch which will showcase the capabilities of the different appliances.

Michael Eyre, culinary director at Jestic Foodservice Equipment commented: “We’re delighted to be able to announce the 11 October as the second date in our recently launched ‘Educational Workshop’ series, following the first highly successful event earlier in the summer. Using our ready-made development kitchen in Paddock Wood, our culinary team will deliver the very latest information on key cooking techniques and methods to help get the most from the equipment.

“We will combine theory with live demonstrations to deliver a comprehensive programme and achieve a specialist level of knowledge that dealers can used to assist in purchasing decisions and operators can take back to their kitchen, helping to further expertise across a host of businesses.”

Dates for the other courses in the series, including the bakery session and those covering pizza and solid fuel cooking will be announced shortly, so please keep an eye out for further details.
