Catering firm ISS has completed the fit-out of a cafe bar for a new telecoms venture formed by Telefonica UK and Vodafone and will now provide catering services to the company for the next three years.
The mobilisation project for Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure (CTIL), a single grid network management provider, was carried out by the ISS Facility Services projects team.
As ISS is a large concern, the company says it has various aspects it can ‘self deliver’, including catering fit-outs.
The cafe bar provides a new space for CTIL employees to meet and eat at the firm’s headquarters in Theale, near Reading.
It will serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, as well as various grab-and-go produce. Independent provider Paddy and Scott’s will offer its UK-produced artisan coffees and drinks via a full barista service.
“The refurbishment and fit-out phase of the works ran smoothly and was followed by a seamless handover into operations,” said Stephanie Hodges, head of CTIL Business Services.
Gary Kidd, managing director of ISS Integrated Services, said: “This contract award really underlines the strength of ISS’s integrated offering and our track record of delivering for clients in the telecommunications sector. We are proud that CTIL has selected us to deliver such an important project for them and we hope that it will be the start of a long and fruitful partnership.”
