Following the introduction of the Lainox Naboo combination oven at Hotelympia 2014 Dawson has been informed the Lainox Naboo has been shortlisted in the Local Authority Catering Association (LACA) Innovation Awards.
Dawson Managing Director Mike Butt says: "It is fantastic news that we have been shortlisted for the best new product LACA award and we are confident we can scoop the top prize.
“The innovations that are built into the range are perfectly suited to the public sector and will allow for central control over as many ovens as is needed over the network.
"There is also a the new tablet control panel and new cleaning system.”
Butt explains that local authorities can now centrally programme all ovens on their network and share menu’s, recipes, HACCP management and ‘how to’ videos from one central area.
“Using the Lainox Cloud for central programming means significant reductions in training costs, efficient standardisation of menus and recipes and consistent cooking results,” he says.
“Naboo brings full wi-fi connectivity to the commercial kitchen giving access to the Lainox Cloud, a web based library for chefs to share, store and manage all types of information from menus, ingredients and recipes to presentation options. Chefs can also interact with the Lainox team live and take advantage of HD video support capabilities on the Lainox Cloud.

The results of the Awards will be announced at the ‘LACA Main Event’ in Birmingham in July.
