Inspire fits historic property’s first kitchen

Inspire Commercial Kitchen Solutions has finished installing a new kitchen at Lartington Hall, helping to complete a major transformation of the 17th century County Durham venue.

The property was originally developed as a residence but the current owners applied for planning permission last year to carry out a number of building works to allow it to be used as a conference venue complete with overnight accommodation.

The plans also included room for an on-site catering facility.

“There wasn’t a kitchen in the building initially so the client built an extension onto the existing building,” explained Chris Stoker, managing director of Inspire. “The kitchen is to be used for small weddings initially but they will be holding some evening meals cooked by Michelin Star chefs eventually.”

Inspire officially completed its work on site last Friday. It has been involved with the project from the design stage and supplied all the equipment, including a ventilation canopy, gas interlock system, dishwash room and cold prep room.

Key brands supplied for the project include Blue Seal, Foster, RS Vents and Maidaid Halcyon. Fabricated sink units and benches were supplied by CED.
