If anyone has a sweet tooth at Buckingham-based dealer, Inox Equip, then they were probably clamouring to work on one of the most recent projects the dealer has undertaken.

High-end patisserie catering service, Pretty Sweet, required a larger additional premises to accommodate growing demand and so called in the distributor to help realise its vision. Established by Claire Clark (MBE MOGB) and Sarah Crouchman, Pretty Sweet originally opened a base in London to host its operation in 2013, after the founding duo identified a gap in the market for luxury bespoke patisserie. The business has since grown to extraordinary lengths.

Both Clark and Crouchman have had experience in various luxurious and high class establishments, including the Ritz and the Portman Intercontinental Hotel, and have received accolades in recognition of their commitment to the craft. They now specialise in pastry, celebration cakes and intricate three-star Michelin desserts.

The large purpose-built premises, based in Willesden, forms a centralised base for the operation from which it supplies its client base, including outlets, partners and private customers. The large site offered Inox Equip scope to be creative with its designs, and tailor the facility to meet the needs of the Pretty Sweet team.

The distributor’s business development manager Jacob Lee explained: “The Pretty Sweet project was bought to our attention by Lee Harding at Rational, after being introduced to Claire Clark for another development project in Milton Keynes.”

Pretty Sweet was a first for Lee himself, as it was his first large-scale project with Inox after graduating from Bournemouth University with a degree in product design. “The facility gave a large amount of space and opportunity for the design, allowing for a large cookline with some modern catering equipment, including the innovative Frima unit and Rational SCCs,” he added.

Frima’s VarioCooking Center multifunctional cooking appliance features seven cooking modes alongside boiling, frying and deep-frying functions.
