Imperial transitions to Gamble at Hotelympia

Imperial Catering Equipment today kicked off life as Gamble Foodservice Solutions after officially launching its new name and corporate logo at Hotelympia.

Staff at the Loughborough-based outfit were looking resplendent in their company uniforms this morning as the new look was unveiled to customers, along with an updated catalogue and price list.

Imperial was set up 15 years ago by the Gamble Group as a business that only sold cooking equipment from the North American brand of the same name.

However, today it markets seven brands in total and felt it was time to transition to a more generic name to reflect the breadth of its offering. Bringing back the Gamble brand keeps it in touch with its heritage and restores a name that is synonymous with catering equipment wholesale.

Sales director, Andy Piggin, said: “The new brand officially launched today and from the conversations we have had with customers it has been really well received. Everyone has said it is great to have the Gamble name back in the industry and they can see why we have done it. Today’s launch is really the culmination of 12 months of effort behind the scenes.”

Debra Kopczynski, director of international sales at Hatco, who is on Gamble’s stand this week, said her company was fully behind Imperial’s rebrand. “We’re very appreciative of being associated with such a well-respected company that has a heritage of 50 years in the market. The longevity of the brand gives us a huge degree of confidence and we continue to receive great support,” she said.

Along with the rebrand, Gamble is showcasing new developments from the brands it offers, including a new Montague broiler, MKN combi oven controller and FWE banqueting cabinet. “We are also kicking off Ovention in the UK,” said Piggin. “This is the first time it has been shown on mass to the UK distributor market.”
