Catering design and equipment specialist IFSE has boosted its sales team with the addition of Richard Smith.
Smith was previously employed with Eileen Say Catering Equipment and now joins an eight-strong team with a renewed focus on the education sector.
He originally entered the industry working as a designer for education specialist contract caterer, Innovate Food, at a time when Jamie Oliver was campaigning for healthier food in schools.
At Innovate Food, Smith helped develop school restaurants to provide an improved service, transforming traditional school dinners into a more modern approach.
Speaking about joining the team at IFSE, he said: “My previous experience allowed me to really get underneath the skin of how education catering works and what these restaurants require from a forward-thinking catering design company. More than education, working with the team at IFSE will also allow me to expand my reach into more sectors.”
IFSE operations director Julia Hill added: “The addition of Richard to the team is invaluable; his experience and expertise allow IFSE to further cater for our expanding client base within the education and restaurant sectors.
“We’re proud to say we have a fully rounded and versatile sales team, from a range of different backgrounds and industries who all understand the intricacies of modern catering operations. The benefit to our clients is an industry-leading reputation and outstanding restaurant design and build.
“2018 has been a tremendously exciting year for IFSE with some of our biggest and best design and build work to date and we look forward to the coming months.”
