Hotelympia 2012 has officially launched a dedicated smartphone application ahead of the show’s start date later this month.
The app is designed to help visitors create their own personalised daily agenda, navigate the show floor and keep up-to-speed with the very latest news and developments.
Available free from app stores, the app will allow visitors to bookmark seminars and sessions from Hotelympia’s Stage, Wine+ Theatre and HOSPA Hub Technology Seminars to create a personalised calendar of must-see events.
From there, visitors can access speaker biographies, plus a full exhibitor directory and compile a dedicated ‘favourites’ list to help optimise their time at the show.
The app syncs with Hotelympia’s social media sites, meaning users can keep up to date with all of the show’s Twitter activities and Facebook posts.
Toby Wand, group exhibition director at Fresh Montgomery, said that building on a heritage of visitor interaction was a core part of its remit for the 2012 show.
“We believe that the Hotelympia app has achieved this, and will become an indispensible tool, both now and in the future,” he commented. “The fact that attendees can completely tailor their visit to the show is an incredibly powerful draw, especially when time away from the business is so precious.”
The app also features a mapping function to help visitors navigate Hotelympia’s brand new layout and to get directions to ExCel, including venue and travel information.
The Hotelympia application for iPhone, Android and Blackberry smartphones is available to download free from iTunes, Android App Market and Blackberry App World now.
