The 2015 show attracted 150,968 visitors, 60,383 of whom were international – from 172 countries. This is around 40% of the total, representing a 17% increase.
Corrado Peraboni, the CEO of Fiera Milano, which houses the exhibtion, commented: “HostMilano is at the forefront of our internationalisation strategy among our directly organised shows.
“Thanks to the recent increase in capital, with shareholders contributing €66.8m, and with Host2017 on the horizon, we can count on new resources that will allow us to expand incoming buyer programmes, advertising abroad, workshops and events.
“This will also increase the number of qualified visitors, especially international ones.”
