Hoshizaki reaffirms support for forward-thinking dealers

For the second year running, Hoshizaki UK has signed up to back the distributor Digital Initiative of the Year honour at the Catering Insight Awards, in association with Atosa.

The refrigerator and ice maker manufacturer is helping to reward those dealers who have really embraced the digital medium, whether it is for sales, service, showcasing their capabilities or an innovative social media campaign.

Steve Loughton, director, UK and Ireland at Hoshizaki UK commented: “The dealer channel is vital to our current and future sales strategy at Hoshizaki UK, especially with the launch of our dealer policy at the end of 2017. We want to demonstrate our commitment to our partners across this sector and feel that supporting the industry’s only event dedicated to celebrating success in the dealer and distributor channel was the ideal way to do this.

“With the 2018 event set to take place at the stunning Bloomsbury Ballroom in central London, we’re looking forward to another night of glitz and glamour at what is sure to once again be one of the highlights of the foodservice calendar.”

This year’s awards will be held on Thursday 29 November, and should once again attract over 200 senior catering equipment executives, both from distributors and suppliers.

Loughton believes that the event will have to go a long way to beating last year’s ceremony though, recalling: “The Catering Insight Awards 2017 was a fantastic evening, celebrating success across the dealer, distributor and manufacturer sector. A great location, combined with the exceptional food and somewhat spirited after party ensured this event was an excellent way to round off what had been a largely positive year for our industry.

“For Hoshizaki, the success of the evening was compounded by Hoshizaki UK winning the ‘Supplier of the Year: Sustainability’ category, for which we are most grateful.”

He and Hoshizaki are continuing to support the initiative, detailing: “What sets the Catering Insight Awards out from other high profile events is those being celebrated. The dealer and distributor channel is an essential sales and support network for our industry, but one that often goes unnoticed when it comes to recognising the hard work and continued achievement. Now in their fourth year, the Catering Insight Awards continue to go from strength to strength and are something that is eagerly anticipated by many.”
