Grantham-based spares specialist GEV has expanded its UK team with the appointment of Julian Fisher as key account manager/technical sales.
This new position was created due to the growth in the number of technical enquiries the company has been receiving, as well as the need for accurate parts identification and knowledge of key brands.
Fisher is well versed with the catering equipment industry, having spent 15 years with Hobart UK as contract sales and marketing manager, plus he brings to the table a diploma degree in marketing.
GEV director, Bryn Vivian, commented: “Julian has extensive experience with a blue-chip company, as well as knowledge of a range of catering equipment manufacturers.
“He also has a keen interest in the spare parts area and already has strong customer relationships.”
Fisher added: “I am very much looking forward to developing the GEV UK brand using my vast industry experience in the sales, marketing and service of all brands of catering spare parts.
“Having managed several successful sales teams at a leading manufacturer, I’m looking forward to developing and expanding GEV’s name here in the UK within the ever-expanding catering service providers market.
“The new role will fully incorporate my detailed technical experience of spare parts sales, worldwide supplier chains and business to business sales.
“I’m anticipating developing the business with new and existing clients, and expanding our part sales portfolios and potentials.”
Globally, the GEV group owns eight offices and employs a total of 205 staff. Having begun in Germany in 1991, the company is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
The UK branch moved to purpose-built premises in 2012 and has invested in the latest storage and packaging methods, including 24 x 14metre storage towers.
