Glen Dimplex Professional Appliances (GDPA) has launched an in-house maintenance and repair service called Fixd.
The service is designed to provide Burco Commercial and Lec Commercial customers with additional support, augmenting the three-year standard warranty it currently offers.
With an expected response time of just 48 hours to mainland UK, the service comprises of a team of fully trained engineers and a dedicated van fleet containing all the most common spare parts and specialist tools needed across the Lec and Burco catering product range.
As a result, customers can expect a faster, more efficient service with minimal downtime should their catering equipment develop a fault throughout its warranty lifetime.
Jon Usher, head of UK sales and marketing at GDPA, said Fixd was an “important investment” for GDPA, giving it access to a dedicated commercial engineer team.
“Fixd provides customers with a dedicated new commercial after-sales approach, which allows our engineers to service and maintain our commercial equipment in warranty, as well as being able to cover chargeable out of warranty work,” he said.
“A target response time of 48 hours ensures minimal disruption for the operator, while enhanced training and specialist expertise within our experienced team will offer the most comprehensive solutions for caterers throughout the country.”
Usher said the initiative would give customers added peace of mind that GDPA can undertake comprehensive site visits and full service when needed.
The new fleet will provide GDPA with the capability of undertaking a full range of chargeable out-of-warranty work as well as rolling out a programme of servicing and maintenance contracts for third party manufacturers.
